    great descriptions !!!!

point#1 is related to how the upper bdy resistnce creates the ''firm front side".

a note on swing vs throw. what is most similar in the throw is the early part windup, hip cok, handbreak, up until the merrygoround starts, with head staying back.

after that, the throw needs to progress and synch differently because you have to go back to front and get up over the front leg. you start the merrygoround in the air, then use the weight shift to jumpstart the final bow.

there is no final bow in swinging, just the merrygoround which is what gets jumpstarted with the weight shift. so it helps to learn the skills together, but you have to understand how the end of the upper body sequence is different as well as the weight shift synch.

in the swing, the push from the back (primarily from spreading the legs) is metered by more or less knee flex then sit on the BACK leg. the OVERLAP is the rubberband winding.

at GO, you still need to SHIFT which involves bringing the bottom of the spine forward a little to enable the Lateral tilt.

this gives the final quick dynamic stretch to the OVERLAP which is where swing timing and plane matching are controlled for late adjustment.

the hip action richard describes is cRUCIAL for this and can't be done if you believe is bending over and sticking the butt out and adjcting up if necessary - this only works with the incmpatible PCR/Nyman pattern where he believes that you start low and adjust up(BM has now been convinced of this).

instead, you start sitting as you read the pitch. as you recognize location, yu adjust on the fly DURING OVERLAP. to either keep sitting or start getting up as needed to match plane, then you finish matching plane and swing timing with the type of GO move you make.
