I ask that regarding the nonstop, continual, broken record playing of....

"the big muslces of the body versus the small muscles of the hands".

THAT ALONE....that statement....is one of the best indicators of someone who hasn't swung a bat since childhood. And for damn sure, someone who has never swung to duplicate the high level pattern.

SPEED is the issue. QUICKNESS is the issue.

You won't find them in 'the big muscles of the body'.

What you'll find, in the big muscles of the body, is an excellent support system for what someone must do to swing in the high level pattern. What you'll find there, is support for the goal. You won't find the main driver. You'll find a boost for the driver.

The driver is.....the forearms.

Until you learn to swing the bat with the hands (forearms), your body will never work properly. The body 'conforms' to the goal. The body supports the goal. The goal is to swing the bat as efficiently as possible with the suddenness of launch necessary to allow as long a 'read' as possible. Only the hands offer the quickness necessary.

If you're swinging with your body with support of the hands.....you will always drag the bat.

ALWAYS.

AND FOREVER.

Until you simply pick up a bat and attempt to duplicate the high level pattern.
