Effortless power can only be achieved with the uptick. The uptick is the sudden....turning of the barrel....rearward....BY THE HANDS/FOREARMS....such that the barrel is 'launched and spent'....IMMEDIATELY. The swing is OVER....DONE....EXECUTED....from an energy production standpoint....by the 3rd frame of a 5 frame video. The last three frames, the barrel is on 'autopilot'. It is LAUNCHED suddenly. More suddenly than most know they can do. The energy is SPENT suddenly. More suddenly than most know they can do. The weight, speed and rearward direction of the barrel....into an arc....about the hands....pulls the barrel away from the hands. THAT.....is what I call autopilot. At this point the barrel is turning the hands....the hands are not turning the barrel. If your barrel is not trying to pull out of your hands.....if your barrel is not turning your hands....BEFORE IT PASSES THE CATCHER'S FACE....you are not launching it rearward....and you'll never reach the high level pattern.

When the barrel's weight and speed is turning the hands....then....and only then....will you experience effortless power. The barrel speeding around the rearward arc....IS....effortless power. Using the arc....using the physics of the arc....the circle....the turning....to create an accelerating barrel around an arc....as compared to a barrel pushed forward....or as compared to a barrel pulled forward....is the only way to achieve effortless power.

Delivering energy 'down the length' of the arms....whether by an arm push....or an arm pull....will NEVER create effortless power. You will always muscle the bat to get up to speed. The energy must be delivered AROUND the arms....not down their length.

Delivering energy by way of a barrel turn, but one that bleeds the corner....because it wasn't really rearward....or wasn't sudden enough....will create the dreaded Elbow Pivot Point....and an out front push....and will NEVER....create effortless power.

Only a few have experienced a real uptick. What are you waiting for? It will change your life.
