Above the elbow clearly gets through....without an ounce of arm action. Both on the left....and the right.

Back in the early 2000's, a hitting theory/technique called PCR was created. It was a hot item until real life hitting, i.e. getting in the batters box against real pitching, exposed the fact that PCR can do nothing but drag the bat. It can only create a slow barrel with a long path. Shortly thereafter, PCR was changed to PCRW as they attempted to 'keep the dogma' but eliminate the problem. But, as we have seen, the real problem was THE DOGMA. THE DOGMA CREATED THE PROBLEM. And as long as they executed PCR or PCRW, they would drag the bat. And so those who hung their hat on the dogma had a problem. They must tell the world they were wrong, that their theory was junk. Of course, as hitting religion goes, they refused. It was more important for them to protect their ego than it was to help kids. Thankfully, the public figured it out after a few exposed it's weaknesses and virtually no one teaches it any more.

Enter "elbow through".

Getting the elbow through is the new bat drag. It is the new snipe hunt.

A highly flawed swing, powered by arm action, is now being touted by an ebook author and his followers, and it came about because the author never established a SnF engine. As he was studying the high level swing pattern, he failed to establish a strong effective first engine, and therefore he couldn't execute a swing without getting the elbow stuck behind. Rather than pay attention to the advice given, the ego took over and he abandoned all that was right....let me say that again....he abandoned all that he previously admitted was right, in an attempt to get rid of his 'elbow through' problem. And he invented a swing driven by arm action....that has no chance at any level above high school.

The inability to get the elbow through is a CLEAR indication of an arm driven swing. As long as the arms are 'working' the rear hip socket will not.

Will the ego do the right thing?
