I left that site because I felt the information was incomplete and the owner there disagreed.

Tewks was promoting something new.
It was demonstrated.
The demonstration failed to maintain a corner....which is an absolute of the high level swing.
He was asked for a demo of someone doing his new movement while maintaining a corner.
He never produced it.
He left the site.
It is documented.
That is from a guy who had played baseball for over 20 years.....but never felt a high level load....until he did the SnF Drill.
That is from a guy who now attempts to rewrite history by claiming HI.com hitters are taught to hit from the SnF Drill position.
That is from a guy who won't tell you the truth, that HI.com teaches the SnF Drill to teach a FEELING, that you must then work to achieve from within your normal stance.
That is a guy who is attempting to perform an 'end around'....the truth.
That is a guy who uploaded this video....
Tewks On Pujols
.....in October of 2011....over a year after having intense instruction and almost daily communication FROM ME.....but never once mentions where his training came from....and implies he is the one that discovered the truth.
Uh Huh.
That is from a guy who knows, but wants you to believe otherwise, that HI.com does not teach you to stay back on/over your rear hip socket without forward momentum.
You see....here is the original student....of HI.com teaching.
http://www.hittingillustrated.com/Br...ndn052407a.gif http://www.hittingillustrated.com/Br...ndn072607a.gif
CLEARLY....using forward momentum. AND....the SnF Drill resulted from that clip on the right....a clip that includes forward momentum. My son started doing that movement you see on his own....and then I explored what he was doing....what it felt like....and how to recreate it.
You see, Tewks' lack of teaching experience is very telling. Students come to you with all kinds of pre-existing beliefs and movements. But virtually EVERYONE I've worked with, including Tewks, had nothing near a SnF load when I first encountered them. I've not had one student, young kid nor professional, that had rear hip socket separation, with a leg trying to internally rotate against a hip/back/scap that were pulling rearward. NOT ONE. And....to make it worse....virtually EVERY ONE OF THEM....substitute momentum for a quality hip socket load. They use momentum to the point that it has to be REMOVED until they able to create the SnF loaded feeling.
I can't tell you how many times it has been written in the forum, that you have to learn the proper SnF load from a static position until you get it right....THEN you add momentum....THEN you learn to move out. And the reason is....if they continue to move out to the degree they did before they started working on the SnF....they will NEVER allow the SnF hip socket load to happen. Their momentum OVERRIDES their ability to create the feeling.
Words i often use are 'hitting from within a phone booth'....or 'don't fall off the barstool'. Eliminating their ability to move out.....FORCES them to learn to load the hip socket. Once they learn to load the hip socket properly....adding momentum is a piece of cake. Because, just like when Tewks himself learned it, and just like when RayR recently learned it....YOU KNOW IMMEDIATELY THAT IT IS SPECIAL. You know the power of that load. You know the meaning of that powerful load. You do not want to lose that load. You will do everything you can to create that load. And most importantly.....you won't let any momentum override your ability to create that load. You will make sure you establish that load. Your momentum will not be allowed to replace it. You will never let momentum substitute for a quality hip socket load again.
I own a bar/restaurant. I've created some really tasty dishes before. After several years of serving them....and eating them.....you wonder if they are as special as they once were. You are so used to it that it doesn't seem all that special anymore. Yet....new customers continue to tell you how good it is. You see, the SnF load becomes a part of your swing after a while. It is so easy to accompllish, it is so easy to move out and not even think about losing/bleeding the load anymore. It is automatic. It is 'you'. To suggest that spending time on the SnF Drill, from a static position, is a waste of time, is to show a lack of teaching experience.
Add this to his nonsense. He recently visited a player who has been on this site for a long time. A player I worked with in person a year ago. A player I got to feel the SnF load within minutes during that visit. A player that was quite sudden in bp and was squaring ball after ball after ball. A player that was told at the time that he needed to learn to 'flow into it'. That standing there like a statue, all loaded up, isn't the end goal. That he would need to develop some rhythm to help him dance with and time pitchers. Over the last several weeks it was suggested, by way of the forum, that he learn to 'click back'....which is a momentum move....you click back into the resisting rear leg which forces it to immediately turn forward and you move out. He had been working on that. It is documented. Then Tewks visits him and accomplishes the task.....and his followers claim Tewks made the difference. That forward momentum made the difference.
What Tewks told him was WORHTLESS....without the prior SnF learning.
Here are Bonds and Ted performing the 'click back'....
http://www.teachersbilliards.com/hitzone/BarryTed.gif
....a sudden click back causing an immediate TURNING FORWARD of the hip/leg assembly.
There is one simple thing going on here. Tewk's ego is driving him to attempt to rewrite history so he can claim ownership of the discovery of the details of the high level pattern. His ego won't let him play second fiddle.
But....he's going to have to. My site documents the entire journey....the entire timeline.
His attempts at mystery....trying to get you to believe he has something new and special....are laughable.
When his attempt to teach external rotation of the humerus was shown to be bogus he got mad. Took his bat and went home. Found out he wasn't quite the guy he thought he was. Couldn't produce a clip of his new discovery from behind the corner....which is SOP at HI.com.
It was his first attempt at the coup. It blew up in his face.
And now you can see what he's all about.
Let me ask you a question. Assume for a half a second you had something new...(he doesn't, but play the game)....something of value....regarding hitting. And prior to this everything you know about hitting came from a certain website. What would you do? Would you go to the site and offer it up to the members? Or would your head swell, leading you to create nonsense about your mentor, in an attempt to separate yourself from him so you can sell it and move into first chair?
Tewks is an arrogant punk.
There are two steps involved with learning to hit.
1) Learn to swing.
2) Learn to hit with that swing.
Learning to swing is the toughest part. Some pick it up quickly. Most don't. There is a lot of trial and error involved. Different stances. Different handsets. Different weight distributions. Tipping the barrel or not. etc etc. Learning to swing means learning to create the deep whoosh. It means learning the create and use the engines that create the deep whoosh. Learning to SnF. Learning to create the hip socket separation.
Learning to hit with that swing means....making adjustments to your stance, handset, setup, momentum, et al....all while keeping the good SnF engine....while searching to get all the ducks in line so as to get the most plate coverage and the best timing window.
As you can see from all the professionals you see on TV....there appears to be an infinite number of styles. Each make the adjustments they need to make to get the highest rate of solid bat/ball contact.
At bats....and ONLY at bats....will teach you what tweaks are necessary to get your engine lined up for optimal ball squaring.
But, if underneath it all, you have a SnF loaded feeling....if you have hip socket separation....leg against the hip/back/scap....stretch will result....and those tweaks are minor comparatively....and easily incorporated.
Learning to swing is frustrating.
Learning to hit with a SnF swing is fun.
When you concern yourself with movements and how they are caused, you'll learn to swing.
And once you learn to swing....you will pass right through those positions with a smooth effortless swing....that those who recognize the positions can not even begin to achieve....as you hit the crap out of the ball.
