Uptick Drill At Different Angles
A high level swing is launched with handle torque at 'go'. It is launched very suddenly. In fact, the hands are 'done' applying this torque to the handle by the second frame of a 5 frame swing. They 'launch and spend'. They get it over with quick. They do their thing....they torque the handle very suddenly....and then turn the barrel over to the rear hip. This point just after the handle torque is what we refer to as autopilot.
This technique allows the arms to have the freedom they need to align the speeding barrel to the ball.
Not all swings are swung from the angle shown in this demo. Some are more horizontal. Some are more diagonal....between horizontal and vertical. Whatever handset you choose....whatever swing plane works best for you....the swing must be launched suddenly with the barrel sent to autopilot as quickly as the hitter can.
