The issue isn't whether the knee stays inside the ankle or not. The issue is teaching it. It is a totally worthless checkpoint that means nothing. It puts a hitters thoughts into an area that they don't need to be. The knee's location will automatically be where it needs to be when the proper swing thoughts are used. It's a non-teach.

Mr Myers makes excellent points but to argue about the degree of 'inside the ankle' the knee is shows he nor the proponents know what is cause and what is effect.

Watching the knee to see where it is in relation to the ankle makes as much sense as using toe touch and heel drop as checkpoints. NONE. Both are reactions to other events. Both happen as a result of doing something else. Do the right thing and you'll never concern yourself with surface details. They automatically fall in line.

Both sides are missing the forest for the trees. Neither know what the 'teaches' are. The are hung up on surface details with little to no understanding of the engines.
