A PERFECT Barrel Path match.
Sorry, but the clip you posted....the kid has improper weight distribution and swings with his arms.....and pushes the barrel out front. He has no corner from which to whip around. You took him from a lead arm pull to a rear arm push. NEITHER is high level.
You are in over your head pal.
I dare you to post animated gifs which I can make side by side videos with.
Double Dare.
Double Dog Dare.
OH MY
When you don't even know the elements of a high level swing.....HOW THE EF CAN YOU THINK YOU CREATED ONE?
Pay attention Rampage. Bonds steps 'in the bucket' often.
You see....when you have no idea what the lead leg does and doesn't do....and when you have no idea about how command and control is in the rear hip/leg....you become clueless on what 'the bucket' is.
You are still 0 for the discussion.
The kid is not perfect....but he is developing a stretch between his rear hip and rear leg....THAT DRIVES A HIGH LEVEL SWING....THAT EVERY HIGH LEVEL HITTER HAS.....and your students don't.
Read it and weep. Your knowledge doesn't reach the first rung of the ladder.
Yet....you have no idea how to load the body to hit. Not one of the surface details you see are important when you are right 'under the hood'. When you benefit from a SnF load that unloads the barrel....all of those elements disappear. But when you major in the minors when teaching....you never get to the real issues hitters have.
They MUST learn to swing first. THEN you learn to hit. They are two separate animals.....yet very related. You attempt to fix every surface flaw.....while missing the HUGE flaw.....that being your kids do not have an engine that allows them the suddenness to hit. You're proud of the fact that your hitter conforms to all the hitting wives tales....while they are still unable to produce the suddenness of launch that is needed to hit.
I have posted kids in all stages of development. I have shown what they go through to find their engine. I ignore silly surface flaws while teaching the engine. I have posted finished (almost....no one is ever finished) products showing how things change....how they look different when done....EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE STILL DOING WHAT THE DRILLS ISOLATED.
You can't see the forest for the trees. You are 'one of them'....and always will be.
You have no interest in truth. Any time you want to come to St Louis I have a challenge for you. We will do the Command Drill. I am 61 years old now. I'll bet what ever you want to bet that I will get my barrel to the ball before you do. And THAT is what you should be teaching. Swing quickness. Only HI.com knows the answer to how the greats do it. THAT IS A FACT.
Tewks made a HUGE mistake. He also never finished the course. He fell for 'arm action'. He still has never created a high level pattern swing. Go ahead.....go ape over his clients that play MLB. I'm not interested in how some short cut the system and have success. I'm interested in the high level pattern. I'm interested in what the best hitters ever have done. That is what I teach. Neither Stone nor Tewks can post a hitter that will match Manny or Barry or Albert or AGon or any of the rest in a side by side comparison. NOT ONE.
When this internet hitting talk started.....15 yrs ago or so.....the goal...THE STANDARD....was to determine what and how high level hitters swung the bat. Fast forward 15 yrs.....EVERYONE BUT ME.....has abandoned that standard. All of the others are willing to accept less than a video match. If they have a hitter that puts up numbers....they are satisfied. Even if that puts a ceiling on their career. It doesn't matter to them how many college studs can't get out of A ball. It doesn't matter to them how high the failure rate of drafted players is. It doesn't matter to them that NO ONE in major league baseball can teach the swing. Just give them some numbers.
There is one fact that can not be denied....unless and until you swing like Manny/Barry/Albert etc.....you will not reach your potential. And the work/effort it takes to get perfect....is no more than the work/effort it takes to work on and perfect the wrong stuff.
As to the rest of your rant.....I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK OF ME. Keep in mind.....that my attitude is critical to success. Mine and my students. It filters out guys like you who really don't have the 'I HAVE TO HAVE IT' drive. Guys like you and the rest simply waste my time. Which takes from others who do have the drive.
There is a reason only 3-400 players, out of the total population on earth, hit for a living. It isn't easy. And it's real hard when your mechanics suck. And most bail because it's too hard. I want to work with what's left. Not interested in the pussified. I want to work with those who have the I have to have it drive.
My filter works perfectly. And along the way....I get to point out how humans really would rather fail than succeed.
